Hurley Elder Care Law just successfully completed our first series of Caregiver Classes exclusively for our caregiving clients.Last fall, our Care Coordinators, Nicole, and Kelsie, recognized that many of our clients had spouses and adult children who were burning the candle at both ends.They were tirelessly balancing their caregiver roles and responsibilities, such as work and family and needed more support.

Powerful Tools for Caregivers (PTC) can help.Hurley Elder Care Law can help!When Nicole and Kelsie identified this need, they wanted to offer additional assistance to these caregivers.They researched and completed the Powerful Tools for Caregiver (PTC) national training and are now offering this 6-week class series free of charge exclusively to Hurley Elder Care Law client families.This self-care educational program builds the skills caregivers need to take better care of themselves as they care for others.Caring for aging adults is a rewarding but demanding role that requires immense dedication and resilience.

However, caregivers often neglect their own well-being, leading to burnout and stress.Nicole and Kelsie suggest some essential self-care tips to help caregivers maintain their health and vitality.Self-care tips for caregivers Set Boundaries: Establish clear boundaries to ensure personal time and space.This helps prevent caregiver fatigue and maintains a healthy work-life balance.
